Confusing times

We are living through confusing times, local, state and national politics not withstanding its almost impossible to decipher the absolute truth in anything these days.  The personal answer to each of your questions is within you, for you are you the individual, the spirit, the entity that already has the answer.  That said; It's hard to ask the uncomfortable questions, the question that require change in lifestyle, belief, location, relationship, when you know your answer.  Its actually there - sometimes we just need a trained person to guide our self-conversation to find the answer that has always been there.

When the profits of business have dwindled, the company or business is loosing money when once upon a time it was highly profitable.  It could be the market, more likely it is the communication between the sales department and the buyer of our merchandise, and all that is needed is a fresh eye to see the issue and fix it.

Years ago I lost my sushi chef to the Korean army and in the process of finding a replacement I encountered a property that was deeply in trouble.  I wrote the owner in Canada simply telling him his restaurant was a step away from going broke.  Within 72 hours he was in the town where the restaurant was located and asking me if I could fix it.  The answer was obvious. “Yes” The problem of course, communication between waitstaff and patron.  The waitstaff wasn’t aware of the nuances of engaging the patron to discover their preferences from the menu.  Simple fix, but without the years of training it would have been missed.

Another adventure: an anniversary dinner at a special restaurant that had no written menu.  It was the waiter that knew how to engage the patron, keep the patron interested and enjoying the show he put on.  Of course he received a much larger tip that would have been normal.  The difference is "how it is said”.   It is a learned skill!

The other day we stopped at Krispy Kreem donuts and were rewarded with an employee that couldn’t care less about the customer.  The language was basic, uneducated, and course.  The fact that “The machine was broke” and “We don’t have those!” Changed our whole impression of a franchise that is nationwide.  If one shop is like that, then the entire organization must function on the same plain.

I teach the solution for successful sales through positive communication and the imortance of knowing the “Why” they are, in fact there earning a salary..  Should you have any of these malidies call me, we can discuss a solution.  775-230-6280
